I was at this concert. Both Castronovo and Kaufmann sang and the King and Queen were in the audience. A big night! Castronovo have the most beautiful timbre of all tenors of today I think.

Monteverdi fue un hombre enamorado. Quedó muy afectado cuando enviudó. Ese amor se transparentaria en este dueto final, tan magistralmente cantado. Claro que la autoría de esta pieza está en cuestión. A mí me gusta pensar que es auténtica, digna de tan grande genio de la musica
